Q. WHAT ARE THE GOALS FOR THIS EVENT?

The goal is to bring Jewish children of elementary and middle school ages together from every point on the Jewish spectrum for an afternoon of unity, fun, and creativity. We're all part of the same colorful Jewish family and challah is the easiest way to get everyone noshing at the same table.


Q. WHO IS BEHIND THIS PROJECT?

This project is not for any one affiliation, Hebrew school, or organization. It was started by a group of Jewish moms from varied backgrounds with one common goal: unity through challah.


Q. WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE DOING?

Your child will be participating in a fun interactive program of making and braiding a Babka-Challah dough as well as a designing a Challah cover while the dough is rising.


Q. WHAT AGES IS THIS EVENT GEARED FOR?

This event is for children ages 2 - 13.


Q. I'm a teenager between 14-18, can I attend?

Yes, as a "table head".
Older kids can volunteer as a "table head," and assist before, during and after the event. If you, or a teen you know, is interested in volunteering, Click here to email

Q. WILL FOOD BE SERVED?

Yes. Your children will be served a few snacks as well as bottled water. All food products are strictly Kosher.


Q. WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE BRINGING HOME?

1-2 braided loaves in a pan with an option of two toppings to go on top. There will be clear baking instructions attached to the cover on their pans so that you can have delicious Babka-challah to share with your family.


Q. WHAT TIME DO DOORS OPEN?

Doors open at 10:15 AM


Q. WHAT TIME DOES THE ACTUAL PROGRAM BEGIN?

The program will begin at 10:30am


Q. IS THIS EVENT NUT FREE?

Yes, this event will be nut free. However the kitchen is not completely nut-free, so there may be cross-contamination.
